Mumbai, 6 March 2026: The House of Abhinandan Lodha (HoABL)association with Legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan deepens further as he acquires a 2.67 acre land parcel in Ayodhya for ₹35 crore from HoABL. The transaction was executed by Mr. Rajesh Yadav, Managing Director of AB Corp Ltd.

The land parcel is located near HoABL’s 75-acre luxury land development, ‘The Sarayu’, situated along the banks of the Sarayu River in Ayodhya. Mr. Bachchan was the first citizen of HoABL's project ‘The Sarayu’, in January 2024.

This latest acquisition reinforces Mr. Bachchan’s confidence in HoABL’s transparent land-ownership model and long-term value philosophy, while reflecting his belief in Ayodhya’s emergence as a high-potential destination supported by sustained government-led infrastructure development and urban transformation. This is his third investment in Ayodhya through HoABL, underscoring continued trust for HOABL and a clear long-term commitment to the emerging Iconic town, Ayodhya.

Ayodhya’s rapid transformation, driven by significant public investment, improved connectivity, and large-scale infrastructure projects, is positioning the city as one of India’s most important spiritual, cultural, and real-estate destinations. Rising tourism and top- notch civic infrastructure are further enhancing its appeal as a long-term land investment market. The city has become a blueprint for spiritual-tourism-led urban renewal, with visitor numbers rising sharply from about 5.75 crore prior to temple construction to a humongous 23 crore between January and June 2025 alone and projections of nearly 50 crore visitors by the end of 2025, as per government estimates.

Commenting on the continued association, Mr. Abhinandan Lodha, Chairman, The House of Abhinandan Lodha, said: “Mr. Bachchan’s investment reflects a shared belief in land as an inter-generational asset that preserves value over the long term. Faith in Ayodhya is a legacy shared by generations. At HoABL, we view land not merely as wealth but as a legacy. In Ayodhya, this legacy assumes a profound meaning — a ‘virasat’ where faith and inheritance come together. Supported by sustained infrastructure development and public investment, Ayodhya is emerging as a compelling destination for long-term land ownership and enduring value creation.”

Mr. Bachchan had also invested in HoABL’s ‘Sol de Alibaug’ project through the acquisition of a 10,000 sq. ft. plot. The project has also attracted investments from other bollywood stars Kriti Sanon and Kartik Aaryan.

Notably, over 65% of HoABL’s customers across projects comprise CEOs and CXOs from leading BFSI, pharmaceutical, and multinational companies, alongside prominent bollywood personalities and other celebrities.

About Ayodhya; Ayodhya has seen a dramatic transformation over the last 5–7 years from a relatively sleepy town into a fast-emerging smart city. With public and allied investments estimated at over ₹85,000 crore, the scale of infrastructure creation spanning roads, rail, airport connectivity, urban services, and civic redevelopment is reshaping both liveability and economic depth. This structural shift is what is driving longer stays, stronger investor confidence, and sustained real estate demand well beyond traditional pilgrimage cycles. The city crossed 100 million visitors in Q1 2025 itself, driven by improved infrastructure and global appeal, and is projected to reach up to 280 million visitors annually by 2030 according to a report by Liases Foras. In 2024, Ayodhya attracted 160 million visitors, more than five times the combined footfall of Mecca and the Vatican, underscoring why India’s spiritual corridor is emerging as a global leader and a growing pillar of our long-term portfolio.
